Michelle Aston

Michelle is an accomplished dancer with 20 years of experience within the industry. Her training covers all facets of dance including Cecchetti Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Tap and Acrobatics.

Michelle has studied 2 years of full-time dance training in which she completed a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management at Kelly Aykers Fulltime Dance School. Michelle’s performance experiences include the ICC Cricket World Cup Opening Ceremony, Masters of Choreography ‘Signs of the Zodiac’ and ‘Nightmare on Dance Street 2’, Australian Dance Festival (Sydney), Victorian Dance Festival, Raw Melbourne and Underground Melbourne. A highlight of Michelle’s dance education would have to be travelling to the Philippines in 2017 to perform and teach dance to children in their communities. Michelle also taught dance to children in both Primary and Secondary school programs across Victoria and interstate with the dance company Footsteps which was such an enjoyable experience for many years that grew my passion for teaching further.

She also coached Women’s Artistic Gymnastics for 10 years at an advanced level and has led her gymnasts to both Regional and Victorian Championship titles. Michelle loves merging her dance and acrobatic knowledge together to direct many performances.
