UNIFORMS & DRESS CODE
​
We take pride in our appearance at UCANDANCE. This is to help us feel like a dancer, move freely, safely and to promote being a part of our TEAM. Wearing the correct attire is important to ensure that the dancers body alignment can be seen, and safe corrections can be given by teachers.
Attention should be given to grooming, etiquette and presentation.
Hair should be in a dance bun for all classes, other than hip hop.

T-shirts are only permitted in Hip Hop classes

Uniform is compulsory across all classes and age groups. We have many options available to our students, to ensure everyone feels comfortable.

Can be worn with the Keira shorts. Great for those who prefer a uniform that provided more coverage, or for those who also might do ballet and have back to back classes, students can slip their shorts on after ballet class.

Uniform option for Hip Hop or to wear to cover up on the way to classes, but not during classes..
Not to be worn in class, other than Hip Hop. Fitted attire such as the Willow Crop or Joni leotard, or unitard to be worn so that students can be taught correct technique and the body alignment can be easily seen to apply safe dance technique and corrections.

UCANDANCE printed zip up jacket. Logo on front chest and back. Great for keeping warm on the way to classes, between classes and to feel part of the UCANDANCE team.

Jackets are not worn in classes as it is important that we can see the body alignment to apply safe teaching practice and techniques.
