Ivy Henderson is a passionate dance teacher and performer with over a decade of training across multiple dance styles. She has been dancing with UCANDANCE since the age of 12, after beginning her dance journey in calisthenics where she gained early experience in performance and competition.

 

Ivy has competed successfully at major dance competitions including Front & Centre, Time to Shine, and Showcase National Dance, earning numerous age group championship titles.

In 2024, she was accepted into Scimm. Dance’s Ascension Program, where she was recognised with a Certificate of Achievement for Most Determined. She was also a member of Scimm.’s  2025 Platforms Company. 

 

As a teacher, Ivy specialises in Acrobatics, ballet, Jazz & Contemporary - with strong technical knowledge and a focus on safe, supportive, and inclusive training environments. 

 

Her qualifications include: 

• Acrobatic Arts Course 1 – Assistant Teacher

• CUADTM311 Assist with Dance Teaching (ATOD)

• Bronze accreditation in Ready Set classes

• Acrobatics Dance association - Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced assistant training 

 

Ivy has successfully completed ATOD ballet examinations to a high and inspiring level which has recently assisted her in being offered a position into Melbourne Youth Ballet company pathway program.  Ivy hopes and dreams to be in Dance Prescriptions Melbourne team to deepen her training and commitments at UCANDANCE.

 

Ivy is proud to be part of the UCANDANCE teaching community, where she strives to inspire confidence, creativity and a love of dance in every student.
